Global supply chains, managerial decision making and logistics performance
Prof. Dr. Aseem Kinra
Copenhagen Business School, Denmark
In this seminar we will study the organisational behavioural characteristics and conditions that make the management of global supply chain networks a difficult task and aim to identify the requirements for good methodologies and tools for global supply chain decision support. The session will define and understand global supply chains from an organisational theory perspective and we will short-list the different logistics-oriented decision factors, variables and performance criteria for managing these complex supply chains. We will then tap into the discussion about decision support methodologies and advanced IT solutions for managerial decision-making, apply these in the context of logistics performance management and identify new research avenues.
